Hoy tendremos nuestra presentación en CIMAT. 🎉
Es un gran paso para mostrar nuestro trabajo en supercómputo y validación del MacroModel. Gracias a todos por el esfuerzo y por llegar hasta aquí. 💪

Este 10 de diciembre de 2025 se llevará a cabo la presentación de proyectos de la convocatoria “Supercómputo como motor de colaboraciones academia-industria”, iniciativa del Cimat en colaboración con la Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (Secihti) y el Instituto de Innovación, Ciencia y Emprendimiento para la Competitividad del Estado de Guanajuato.

El objetivo del encuentro es dar a conocer el alcance de los proyectos que se desarrollarán en Guanajuato, enfocados en aplicaciones basadas en supercómputo e inteligencia artificial para atender desafíos reales en sectores como ciencia, industria, gobierno y salud.

Entre las instituciones participantes se encuentran la Universidad de Guanajuato, la Universidad Tecnológica de León, el Tecnológico de Monterrey, el Cinvestav Irapuato, el Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica, la Procuraduría Ambiental y de Ordenamiento Territorial, la Secretaría de Obra Pública del Estado, así como la empresa Forte Innovation Consulting.

El protocolo inaugural contará con la participación de Christian Gómez, Vida UG, en representación de la Dra. Claudia Susana Gómez, Rectora de la Universidad de Guanajuato; Karina Padilla Ávila, Procuradora Ambiental y de Ordenamiento Territorial del Estado de Guanajuato; Francisco José de Anda Orellana, Subsecretario de Conectividad y Movilidad de la Secretaría de Obra Pública; el Dr. Feliú Davino Sagols Troncoso, Director General de Centros Públicos de Investigación y Laboratorios Nacionales; el Dr. Juan Antonio Reus Montaño, Director General del Instituto de Innovación, Ciencia y Emprendimiento para la Competitividad del Estado de Guanajuato; y el Dr. Rafael Herrera Guzmán, Director General del Cimat.

Nos complace anunciar que nuestro proyecto "Validación computacional intensiva del MacroModel para escenarios pandémicos complejos" ha sido seleccionado en la Convocatoria 2025 del Laboratorio Nacional de Supercómputo del CIMAT.

We are pleased to announce that our project "Intensive Computational Validation of the MacroModel for Complex Pandemic Scenarios" has been selected in the 2025 Call of the CIMAT National High-Performance Computing Laboratory.

Este apoyo nos permitirá ejecutar simulaciones masivas en infraestructura de alto rendimiento (HPC), evaluando y optimizando el MacroModel, un modelo probabilístico híbrido desarrollado por Quantum Risk Analytics para escenarios pandémicos complejos.

This support will allow us to run large-scale simulations on high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, evaluating and optimizing the MacroModel, a hybrid probabilistic model developed by Quantum Risk Analytics for complex pandemic scenarios.

El proyecto busca:

Meet Nancy Ramírez-Herrera, a volunteer at Quantum Risk Analytics.

Nancy is a biochemical engineer based in Mexico City. She leads the epidemiology team, where she helps coordinate volunteers, analyze data, and support the development of our wastewater model to improve COVID-19 surveillance.
