A persistent “pimple” or a sore that never seems to quite heal could be a skin cancer so get it checked out. In this case, it was a basal cell skin cancer, the most common form of skin cancer that can typically be removed in the office. Signs of basal cell skin cancer include

1. An open sore that does not heal.
2. A shiny bump or nodule.
3. A reddish patch or irritated area
4. A scar-like area that is flat white, yellow or waxy in color.
5. A small pink growth with a slightly raised, rolled edge and a crusted indentation in the center.

Accutane changes all your skin care. I got the first pyramid of skin care picture from a patient who said what has to go when us start Accutane (isotretinoin). I recommend stopping all AHA/BHA, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, vitamin C and physical exfoliants. Basically anything active. Accutane rapidly reduces the size and activity of your sebaceous glands so in a way, the dryness is a sign it is working. You can get rashes in places you never knew existed so switch over to barrier repair and restorative products.

P***c lice or crabs are tiny parasitic insects that feed on us and cause intense itching. Nevertheless, they are treatable and dont cause serious disease.
They are really hard to see without a magnifying glass. After treatment, wash clothing and bedding in hot water and please inform any recent partners. Please seek a health professional if you think you might have crabs.
