When liqour stores are considered "essential business" you know there is s problem. We are seeing a lot of people who are becoming unintentional alcoholics. Doing anything every day for 21 days forms a habit. In NYC we have been quaratined for almost 60 days, watching Tv and drinking has created more dependency on alcohol. The has created more alcoholics in the past 3 months than I have seen in a lifetime. The line for the liqour stores are just as long as the grocery stores in some areas. Having to deal with this new world of fear, death and disease has us all worrying more about things outside of our control. My advice is to remember who you were before the corona virus. Create and write down achievable goals and accomplish them. Take up a physical activities walking, running, jumping jacks etc.. Maybe read, listen or watch something positive and motiational. Shave your face, legs or any undesirable hairy place🤔 lol. Do something that shakes up this new norm of self isolation. Are you finding that you are being pulled to a liquor store by some mysterious feeling? Are you waking up in the morning wanting a drink? Have you tried to stop drinking for a few days and talked yourself into drinking again? If so, you may have a problem. If I were you I would talk with a loved one that has your best interest at heart mom, dad, spouse, best friend and talk with them first about your problem and ask them for help holding you accountable. If you feel that your drinking is far worse maybe contact a counselor, medical professional or call a help line. You deserve happiness in any situation especially now.
