Dr Hoellwarth describes an update for Mr M around 9 months from osseointegration. You can see him here walking around his apartment completely on his own. He has been able to return to and get to class independently. As a reminder, he sustained bilateral femur amputations and severe skin burns and a right femur . After extensive care his skin had healed, and we united his fracture using a nail used in compression mode. I then provided him bilateral OPL femur osseointegration and at fit him with and Rush Rogue 2 feet. This was his first day with the legs, six months ago. His determination and hard work has allowed him to achieve an incredible mobility and quality of life!

Dr Hoellwarth introduces Ms J developed left ankle complex regional pain syndrome after a prior surgery. Her pain was severe, she could not sleep well, and she could barely walk. She agreed she could no longer live this way and wanted osseointegration. Like our other CRPS patients, I marked her pain level prior to imaging to identify where she no longer had pain. Her prosthetic care was provided by Eric Schaffer at A Step Ahead Prosthetics : Custom OI attachment clamp, with an Ossur Proflex foot. Here she is at describing how her life has changed.
