“How small is the smallest breast implant?”
It’s a common question — and the answer depends on anatomy, proportions, and personal goals. The ballerina breast, soft projection with an elevated position on the chest is in, especially in NYC. Capsular contracture is caused by the body’s abnormal response to breast implants. It can cause the implants to become hard, painful, and deformed. This patient had all of the above symptoms from capsular contracture and no longer wanted implants. I removed the old implants, lifted the breasts, and added her own fat to give her a natural shape and restore volume. She is not even 1 month out of surgery and is thrilled. She now has a soft, natural appearance and no pain!

Dr. Preminger is an Ivy League educated, Board Certified female plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. She holds faculty appointments at Columbia University as well as several other fully accredited New York hospitals. Dr. Preminger trained at some of the country’s finest institutions including New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, Columbia University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Hospital For Special Surgery. She also studied art at the Art Students League. In addition to achieving top honors in some of the most distinguished Ivy League schools in the country, Dr. Preminger has a history of active leadership in many professional organizations. Dr. Preminger has expertise in a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures and has lectured and published extensively. She and her staff are committed to excellence.
