Mission: As God Commands us to love our neighbors, and serve them with his love and compassion, we go everywhere in the world to help those who are suffering, especially from vision disabilities, so that they will be able to see with healthy eyes, minds, and souls. Vision: We aim to let the world know that although vision problems can be recovered by proper prevention and timely treatment, there are many people losing vision daily due to poor living conditions. We help patients get regular treatment at short-term eye camps and at our long-term partner clinics by having doctors, missionaries, volunteers, and sponsors work together.

On Nov. 22, Vision Care USA held its 9th Annual Local Eye Camp community event where we provided free eye examinations and selected 3 patients among them to receive the charitable cataract surgeries.

Thank you to our doctors, Drs. Daniel Kim, Lisa Park, Geehyun Chun, Sarah Yu, and Chris Kim, our volunteers from the Bank of Hope, Korean American Medical Students Association (KAMSA), and St. Mary’s Eye & Surgery Center, and our local community partners AWCA and Korean American Senior Citizens’ Association of New Jersey (KASCANJ) for your time and dedication to ensuring yet eanother successful event.

Morocco Eye Camp held in Tinghir, at the Centre Hospitalier Provincial de Tinghir (October 27-31), led by Drs. David Yi, Jonathan Lee, Philip Chung, and Donghae Kim.

Our dedicated medical team examined 682 outpatients and performed 117 sight-restoring surgeries.

During Soroti Uganda Eye Camp (August 18-22), our last patient was 24-year old farmer Joseph from Kumi, one of 6 children and born with pediatric cataracts.

Joseph who farms sweet potatoes and cassavas, offered to bring some with him when he visits next month.

Open Eyes for Africa, Let’s See Together!

Through our 2 month campaign (July-August) we aim to deliver over 500 sight-restoring cataract surgeries and transfer essential skills to local Ophthalmologists, surgical nurses and other health professionals in 9 cities across 7 countries.
