Union Square Practice welcomes Marianne Jones LMSW to the Clinical Team!

Marianne is a licensed master social worker specializing in work with couples and families. Marianne has advanced training in couples and families through the Ackerman Institute for the Family and uses an eclectic and strength-based approach drawing from the the Ackerman Relational Model (ARA), the teachings of John Gottman, as well as a variety of theoretical frameworks to help couples break through barriers to achieve greater understanding, connections, and intimacy in their relationships.

Marianne believes that it takes courage and vulnerability to seek help. She creates an empathic, curious, and collaborative space for couples to have difficult conversations toward understanding, repairing, or restructuring relationships. Marianne helps couples struggling with a range of issues including communication challenges, infidelity, blended families, divorce, infertility, anxiety, financial conflicts, and parenting struggles. Marianne also works with couples seeking proactive maintenance of their relationships.

USP is excited to welcome Jessica Rak, APRN to our growing team!

Jessica is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in treatment of children and adolescents and provides psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy and medication management.

Jessica’s experience spans across all levels of care, ranging from acute crisis stabilization to weekly psychotherapy, and she has worked in inpatient, outpatient and pediatric settings.

Amanda Shirley is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with experience in providing treatment for a wide variety of mental health concerns including personality disorders, PTSD, and mood and anxiety disorders. Amanda offers services that include psychotherapy, medication management, DBT, EMDR, and group therapy.

Amanda’s roots are in humanistic-existential psychotherapy. She works to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with each client in a warm, open, and non-judgmental space.
