If you have not yet signed up for the March pranayama series, there is still time. There are extra Wednesdays this March and we can send you the recording of the last session. We really want to grow this program for so that we can demonstrate the interest in breath, work for stress, anxiety, depression, pain, motor skills and cognitive function digestion and in general well-being. By showing a large interest in this work, The Shala qualifies for many grants in order to make these programs accessible and free in the future. Today is the first day of my Yoga Therapy for Kids with Autism Group. It has been a long journey the past few years working with people in Addiction Recovery, becoming a Yoga Therapist and Massage Therapist, buying a yoga studio! I am so grateful to my family and friends who have continued to support me as I develop my skills to be of service. A special thank you to Melinda Atkins the director who really pushed me to deeper of yoga and how to share these healing practices and make them accessible. Join me Sunday for our Final Master Chakra Class ! 1PM Limited space... Travel through every chakra! We don’t always feel powerful in the moment. But if we do something powerful it can change that feeling. Much like smiling when you aren’t really happy, you might start to feel better. The physical action creates a biochemical response. Calling upon the Skull Shining Breath when we feel energetically low wakes up our Will Power, engages our Transformational energy, purifies the body and focuses the mind. Awaken your Manipura Chakra with this powerful exhale, pulling the belly button in to stimulate the solar plexus and expel that which no longer serves you. Ypur body will automatically wake up and breath in, oxygenating your tissues and giving you a sense of Strength and Courage to meet with whatever lies before you. It is a Warrior Breath, and Cleansing Breath. I like to do it seated or sometimes in A big standing squat Utkata Konasana swaying side to side taking up space, throwing the shoulders up and back to open up the chest giving space for the breath, sinking low in the hips to really dig into it! # powerpose

Sexual assault and trauma are taboo to discuss, and there is a unique fear of speaking up when those suffer are men. The campaign and all the brave and beautiful souls that have come to speak out against violence, reclaim Voice and Personal Power, Release Guilt, find Compassion for Oneself and perhaps Forgiveness as the Pain Body passes from one host to the next, I hear you, I see you, and I thank you! We hold these stories not only in our emotional bodies but in our physical bodies. Our Sacral Chakras may oscillate between being overstimulated and shut down. We may struggle to feel good about experiencing pleasure and also maintaining healthy boundaries. The layers or healing are vast and non linear. I struggle with pain in my hips and legs daily. Simple gentle hip openers are a saving grace. Sitting quiet in restorative poses allows the energy body to breathe. I have good days and bad days like we all do. It supports my big dancing vinyasa practice when I am having good days, and it gives me comfort and ease when I am having more challenging days. I have so much gratitude these practices and so much gratitude for this journey.
