This is a revision rhinoplasty using rib cartilage, including diced cartilage–fascial grafts and structural support grafts to rebuild the nasal tip. The result is excellent.

Revision cases can be complex, but with newer techniques, we’re able to do some truly impressive things. We’re now incorporating approaches like fat grafting, nanofat, and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), which have added another dimension to both structure and healing.

I love seeing results like this, and I think outcomes for revision patients will continue to improve moving forward.

If you have one or more osteomas you want removed, you can trust Dr. Rosenberg to perform this delicate procedure. His vast experience as a dual board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon includes specializing in minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures. Most osteomas can be removed at our offices with local anesthesia and on an outpatient basis. Downtime and recovery after the procedure are minimal with the use of endoscopic techniques and equipment. There is usually little to no visible scarring due to the placement and size of the incision.

Osteomas are benign bony growths on the forehead that can detract from the beauty of the face. If you are interested in having an osteoma removed, Joshua D. Rosenberg, MD, offers minimally-invasive osteoma removal in NYC.

"Without lines and crinkles, asymmetry and individuality, a face has none of the cues that signal warmth, wisdom, and happiness—the qualities that our brains rely on faces to communicate."

Did you know that our faces are so important to our social fabric that there’s an area of our brains—called the fusiform face area—devoted exclusively to decoding them? What then are the consequences of continued exposure to the type of frozen facial conformity that’s been prominent in our media in recent years? “Mar-a-Lago face already makes it almost impossible to decipher who’s who in that particular troop,” writes Allure contributor Val Monroe. “Dehumanization often begins by hiding or erasing images of people’s faces…or possibly by making them indistinguishable from one another.” Without lines and crinkles, asymmetry and individuality, a face has none of the cues that signal warmth, wisdom, and happiness—the qualities that our brains rely on faces to communicate. But we haven’t yet lost complete sight of what a face is actually for, and Monroe has reason to believe that the cultural tide is turning away from sameness and distortion as an aesthetic choice.

When the upper eyelid does not stay completely open, the eyes appear tired. For those with ptosis, their upper eyelids droop, creating this ongoing sleepy appearance. This condition can be caused by weakened, ruptured or strained tendons, referred to as acquired ptosis. When this occurs, eye plastic surgery may be the only option to correct a droopy eyelid for appearance and function.

Do your eyes look tired due to droopy upper eyelids? You may have ptosis, an upper eyelid condition. Contact Joshua D. Rosenberg, MD, for a consultation to discuss ptosis repair surgery.
