Next in the lineup… Meet our terrific treasurer, Flora! Flora (she/her) is a sophomore in SEAS studying Computer Science 👩‍💻with a minor in Economics. She is a big lover of Kpop (and an even bigger lover of Orchesis!!) which brought her into hip-hop dance. This is her second semester choreographing for Orchesis and she is ready to bring her energy to the stage 😎! Outside of Orchesis, she enjoys reading, coding, and exploring desserts around nyc 🍨. You may find her locked in in math library or chilling on the third floor of the business library.

Next up is Kate (she/her) our super studious administrator! Kate is a sophomore at Barnard studying Environment & Sustainability and Human Rights, with a minor in dance. She’s choreographed 3 semesters in a row for Orchesis and was a part of the whimsy of MaMa Project’s magical show this year. Outside of eating, sleeping and breathing Orchesis, you can find her frolicing in Riverside Park, searching for a good tiramisu, and falling asleep trying to read a book. Kate is an avid Butler library hater, and always takes a can of trail mix and her blue headphones with her on the rare trek to Milstein.

Next up is our other amazing PR chair, Christina (she/her)! Christina is a sophomore in SEAS majoring in Earth & Environmental Engineering. (and potentially minoring in history?👀) This is her third semester in Orchesis and she can’t wait to keep it going!! Christina is an avid dancer and outside of Orchesis, she dances for Ruyan Chinese Dance, Onyx, and CoLab! She dreads going to the library but when it gets bad, you can find her studying (or sleeping) in a green Milstein chair where she always has a pack of gum, headphones, and her water bottle.

Next up, meet Elle (she/her) , one of two precious PR chairs. A Barnard Sophomore studying Psychology and potentially minoring in Dance ( 🤔💭), Elle has danced her merry way through 2 semesters as a part of the Orchy family. You can find her constantly telling anyone who will listen that EVERYONE should join Orchesis because in her words, “Orchesis is perfection.” Outside of the dance studios, you can find Elle in the Lefrak massage chairs while she runs her TA OH for Stats, crocheting small animals and sweaters in the cozy corner that is her Plimpton dormroom, or asking for help with her endless astronomy homework (please dm if you know anything about astronomy 🙏). Elle is a lover of locking in on the fourth floor of the Kraft Center always with her patterned planner in hand and a pack of gum in her pocket.

Next, meet Abra (she/her), the other half of our lovely social chair duo!! Abra is a freshman from Danville, Pennsylvania studying History and Political Science on a pre-law track. She’s currently in her second semester in Orchesis and is looking forward to many many more!! 👯‍♀️ Outside of rehearsal, Abra enjoys arts and crafting, hanging out on the lawns, and searching for thrift spots across the city. She can be found procrastinating in Avery with a forbidden matcha 🤫 and her pink headphones!

Meet Jessica (she/her), our incredible space coordinator! A Barnard freshman studying physics, she has been dancing in Orchesis ever since her first semester. Outside of rehearsal, she enjoys walking while listening to a good album at Riverside, crocheting/knitting accessories (that end up collecting dust), or searching for the best bagel in NYC. She can be found on the 4th floor of Milstein, either fully locked in or staring at a blank google doc, a near empty iced coffee on her side.

Meet our next Board Member, Catherine (she/her), the archivist ! Catherine is a sophomore in CC studying Biology on the pre-vet track and minoring in dance. She’s been invested in Orchesis since her first day on campus and believes that everyone ever should join because dance is for everyone 😛! When she’s not in an Orchesis rehearsal, you can find her crashing out over class (too many to do list 🥲), grooving across the streets, or rushing to her favorite horse farm 🐴. She also choreographs for the Varsity Show, dances in RunCo, and plans as VP for the Pre-Vet Society. And, as she always says, if you ever catch her studying in Butler, SEND HELP .

She’s been hooked on Orchesis since her very first semester freshman year and has been coming back ever since! Outside of Orchesis, Jinju is the VP of Finance for Sigma Delta Tau (shoutout to all the OrchesiSDTers) and a member of the Association for Women in Mathematics. During finals, you can usually find her trying to claim a booth in the NoCo library or at a Milstein whiteboard with her multicolored Expo markers.
