Did you know that panic attacks are related to social anxiety disorder (SAD)? One study shows that people with situational panic attacks exhibited more fear and avoidance in a number of social situations. They also found demographic differences in terms of panic attacks with SAD. Being male, black, Asian, or over the age 65 is less likely to experience situational panic attacks. On the other hand, if you are unemployed, the likelihood of experiencing situational panic attacks increases.
