In addition to the medical consequences of the Corona Virus, many are feeling the economic impact as well. If you are considering filing for bankruptcy, it is advisable to speak with a licensed attorney. For instance, there are several things one should NOT do if anticipating filing for bankruptcy, or "workouts" as I like to call them. These things include:
NOT cashing out your retirement accounts.
NOT transferring property out of your name.
NOT giving away any property to friends or relatives.
NOT taking out new loans or charge a bunch of debt on your cards.
NOT transferring title to your property or car.
NOT taking your name off of a deed.
NOT giving your friends or relatives gifts.
NOT paying back any friends or relatives for money they have loaned you.
NOT taking the assets out of your business and selling them.
