Sharing 3 easy meal ideas to take one small thing off your plate tonight. 🤍 Because the last thing I want to think about right now is “what’s for dinner.”

Which one hit home for you today? 🙌

Things I’ll never gatekeep as a dietitian:
Practical > perfect
Real life > rigid rules
Burnout-free nutrition always wins

But seriously: one meal does not define your parenting or your child’s health.🙌

Nutrition ≠ perfection. Balance > moralizing food. ❤️❤️

The new Dietary Guidelines just dropped—and I have thoughts. The recommendations aren’t all that different from before, but the visual update is a big change (team plate over here 🙋‍♀️).

I'm curious, what do you think?

01/08/2026

By no means do I recommend getting your nutrition advice from a cartoon… BUT this is eerily accurate regarding the guidelines that were released today 😂

This episode is from 2009. Coincidence? Maybe. Inspo for the new guidelines? Also maybe 👀

It’s late, but I had to share for a laugh. I’ll be posting my real thoughts tomorrow—until then, what are your initial reactions to the new dietary guidelines? ⬇️

I was scared to start my private practice for YEARS.
Benefits. Stability. Fear of failing as a single mom.

Then 2020 changed everything.
Insurance covered virtual nutrition—and my side practice took off.

Before going full-time, I had already hired 3 dietitians.
When I got laid off, I bet on myself… and it paid off.

Now I help dietitians build profitable, insurance-based private practices without the guesswork.

Yes, it’s true. I’m officially coaching dietitians 🎉🎉

After years of mentoring—and recently coaching dietitians in a beta program—I knew this was the right next step.

I see so many dietitians who want to start a private practice but feel stuck because they’re:

→ scared to leave a stable paycheck
→ overwhelmed by insurance + credentialing
→ unsure where to even begin
→ afraid of “doing it wrong” or not getting paid

Insurance can feel intimidating—but with the right mentor, it’s actually clear, doable, and incredibly rewarding.

I’ve been running a virtual private practice since 2020, and going all-in gave me income stability and the flexibility to be home with my kids.

What's your favorite hummus flavor? Tell me in the comments 👇

This is one of my favorite snacks! All you need:
1 can of tuna 🐟, drained
A few tablespoons of your favorite hummus
1/4 cup celery and onions, diced
Mini bell peppers 🌶, cut in half and seeded

1. Mix the tuna, hummus, celery and onions together.
2. Scoop this mixture into the cut up bell pepper slices.

Make this a meal 👉 enjoy on your favorite bread
Add more crunch 👉 enjoy on high fiber crackers
Spice it up 👉 use flavored hummus like olive, garlic or roasted red pepper

Enjoy!

XoXo

Happy gut, happy life! 😁

Okay, okay that statement doesn’t quite rhyme 🤷🏻‍♀️, but it’s not wrong! When our gut is functioning optimally, we tend to feel better.

One way to promote gut health is to eat foods containing probiotics, aka the good bacteria. These bacteria colonize the gut, which can help with better digestion and possible immune protection.👍

Pairing the above probiotic foods with prebiotic foods (i.e. fiber-containing foods), allows the good bacteria to flourish. The good bacteria eat this fiber in your gut.

Here are some probiotic and prebiotic combos:
👉 Yogurt (or quark!) & berries 🍓
👉 Sourdough bread 🥖 with PB & banana 🍌
👉 Swiss cheese & apples 🍎
👉 Pickles & onions on a sandwich made with whole-grain bread

Which combo you would try? Shout it out in the comments 👇
