We are very fortunate to have the tremendous brilliance, expertise, and innovation of Dr. Marcelo Gomes, PhD, LP, at the Blanton-Peale Institute & Counseling Center. As Director of Psychoanalytic Training since January 2024, Dr. Gomes has reinvigorated the psychoanalytic training program, expanding its reach among trainees, faculty, guest lecturers, licensed psychoanalysts, and prestigious organizations across the globe. He has also grown the program and continues to do so reflecting his deep commitment to the advancement of both classic and contemporary psychoanalytic theory, practices, and pedagogy. Dr. Gomes has accepted appointment to the position of Dean of Education, whereby he will continue to build upon his leadership of psychoanalytic training at the Institute while adding responsibilities for overall education and training programs.
 
Please join us in congratulating the amazing scholar-practitioner and educator, Dr. Marcelo Gomes, on his promotion!
