At Willows Home Care, we believe that staying active isn't just about movement - its about doing the things you love.
One of our carers spent the afternoon with her client getting hands on in the kitchen. Together they made some delicious homemade pies.
Keeping busy in the kitchen is such a fantastic way to boost mobility, coordination and happiness.
The clients husband was more than happy to be the official taste tester and he has given the pies a glowing 10/10 😋😋

We are excited to share the news of our Book and Puzzle Club.
Our new club is the perfect way for our clients to dive into a new story, challenge themselves with a puzzle, or enjoy a friendly game with us or a family member or friend. Our carers encourage and participate with the activities with our clients.

Why we love it:
😍 - Keep cognitive skills sharp and focused
😍 - A book or puzzle is the perfect "icebreaker" for a chat

Whether its a quiet afternoon reading, doing a puzzle or even having a competitive game, there is something for everyone.

Just contact the office or ask your carer if you fancy giving anything a try.

We have had a wonderful start to 2026. Although it has been a rather chilly start to the year we have managed to get our clients out and about. Visiting cafes and playing dominoes is a lovely way to spend a chilly afternoon. The return of the regular Blue Flamingo Cafe on a Wednesday afternoon from 12.30 until 2pm at St Teresa's in Penwortham has got off to a fabulous start with everyone enjoying seeing each other again after the xmas break.
The donkeys we visit now have two new friends, the alpacas.

The Willows team is getting festive..
We are all looking forward to our annual Christmas party. Some of our clients have been hard at work creating some lovely Christmas Tree ornaments to give out.
Each client will get one to take home as a lovely, thoughtful gift.
We are so grateful for your help and can't wait to celebrate..

What a wonderful time had by all at the Blue Flamingo Cafe . The Blue Flamingo was celebrating its 4th birthday and had put on a wonderful buffet and entertainment. Some of our clients who attend the café weekly were presented with awards for their ongoing support of such a wonderful resource available to anyone wishing to attend.
Willows Home Care support the Blue Flamingo Café at St Teresa's in Penwortham on Wednesdays from 12.30 pm until 2 pm

What a wonderful day our lovely client had today. Our lovely carer Claire was able to take her client on a magical day out to Blackpool's Christmas market. Even the pesky seagulls didn't spoil the day. The sun was out and so were the smiles.
